With the latest kickstarter almost done for the T2 pinball game rights and Farsight’s previous projects for The Twilight Zone and Star Trek TNG, your company has had a chance to examine what fans considered to be some of the best pinball tables ever made. The great presentation and deep gameplay that keeps bringing players back who are trying to master the table is just as important, though.Ĥ. I think this is partially because pinball is super simple at the most basic newbie level – just keep the ball alive and enjoy. The Twilight Zone table is considered to be one of the most complicated tables ever made and was able to be digitized thanks to kickstarter. The real mechanical experience of a machine that is fully working and setup and balanced was, and always will be, a great entertainment value for everyone. ![]() There’s nothing quite like playing a real pinball machine. In your opinion what makes pinball in a sense timeless for people like you, me and the fans that continue to enjoy it? Even with the decline of the arcades, pinball still has a strong following. Pinball, like the video game industry originated in the arcades and made major leaps and bounds in popularity in the 80s and 90s. But other than that, and since all of the tables we have are pretty much classics, it’s hard to pick only one period.ģ. There’s quite a few guys who don’t like anything much older than 1980. Plus, Black Knight and Firepower are favorites of a couple guys. That said we’ve also played Taxi and Bride of PinBot to death. If I had to pick a few favorites that pretty much everyone loves, I’d have to include Medieval Madness, Attack from Mars, Theater of Magic, and Tales of the Arabian Nights. Most of the FarSight crew thoroughly enjoys all of our mid-90s tables. Pinball Arcade is available for PS4, Xbox One, Wii U, Mac, PC, iPhone, Android, Vita, and Ouya. While some licenses have been acquired, rights are still needed from original table developer Williams and to use the likenesses and voiceovers of actors Raul Julia and Anjelica Houston on the table’s backglass and playfield. The funding Farsight is seeking is intended to pay for the extensive licensing the adaptation requires. ![]() The series is home to recreations of such classic horror tables as Elvira, Attack from Mars, and The Creature from the Black Lagoon. Should the game receive funding, it would be added to the impressive lineup of classic tables found Farsight’s game Pinball Arcade, which was well received by gamers and press. The table, based on the 1991 film adaptation of The Addams Family, was one of the top selling tables in history with over 20,000 units sold and was “integrated more deeply to the movie than any other licensed pinball table of its time.”
